“Where is it, then? (The Kingdom of Heaven.). Author Jim Marion’s wonderfully insightful and contemporary suggestion is that the Kingdom of Heaven is really a metaphor for a state of consciousness; it is not a place you go to, but a place you come from. [1] It is a whole new way of looking at the world, a transformed awareness that literally turns this world into a different place.” From Richard Rohr’s posting today, The Wisdom Jesus:The Kingdom of Heaven

“For thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory. In this resounding ending to the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus is telling us, yes you and me and everyone here on earth, in this ego-trance that makes up earth, that we are the Kingdom he speaks of. When I say this prayer in a group, I therefore look around me and catch the eye of all I can see in that moment and recite this part of the prayer with just that in mind. Brother, sister, you are the Kingdom of God. And you are the Power and Glory of God as you now return to your home you have never left. Heaven awaits just that to be Heaven. Bob Pajer
